Indoor Swimming Pool – 500 sqft Blackout Roller Blinds
A beautiful indoor pool deserves privacy, comfort & proper light control.
This project at Taman Sierra Ukay required careful planning — not just installation.
Here’s how we solved the homeowner’s concerns

Privacy Without Awkward Gaps
With wide sliding glass doors and an L-corner layout, the biggest worry was:
“Will there be light leakage at the centre or corner?”
We carefully planned the centre meeting point — aligned exactly to the door frame or wall — to minimize visible gaps when blinds are fully down.
For the L-corner section, we adjusted the overlap positioning to ensure maximum privacy from outside view, especially at night when indoor lights are on.
Result: Clean look + Proper coverage.

Fewer Splits, Stronger Structure
Instead of using too many narrow blinds (which can look segmented),
we upgraded the system to 45mm heavy-duty aluminium tube.
Why this matters:
• Allows wider panels
• Reduces number of splits
• Prevents fabric sagging over time
• More stable & smoother rolling
This gives a cleaner aesthetic — especially important for large open spaces like this pool area.

Smooth & Easy Operation
We added a spring-assisted mechanism for easier pull-up and pull-down.
Even for larger panels, operation remains:

Controlled

Durable

Ceiling Box Mount Installation
Blinds were installed inside the ceiling box for a seamless, built-in appearance — maintaining the modern luxury design of the space.
Many homeowners worry about:

Will it look bulky?

Will there be gaps?

Will the fabric sag?

Is blackout really full blackout?
Planning is everything.
Not just measuring — but understanding structure, alignment, and long-term durability.
If you’re planning large sliding doors or high ceiling areas, let’s design it properly from the beginning.
