If you had a nearly 8 meter wide floor to ceiling window, what curtain combination would you choose? For this luxury residence at Regent Suites, Pavilion Damansara Heights, the homeowner selected exquisite embroidered sheers paired with textured blackout curtains to create a refined British inspired interior.
While many assume curtains should stop exactly at floor level, ultra wide floor to ceiling windows often present a different challenge.
With strong natural light reflecting off the light-coloured floor tiles, light can still enter the room from below even when the curtains are fully closed. This not only affects blackout performance but can also make the curtains appear visually shorter.
To overcome this, we recommended extending the curtain length slightly so that the fabric gently rests on the floor.
The result?
Reduced light leakage from the bottom Enhanced blackout performance A more luxurious and elegant finishSometimes, it’s the smallest details that make the biggest difference.
